Recent patient here. Baka badtrip lang si doc nung araw na yun, ramdam ko as a patient yun. Mejo bastos magsalita at magprobe ng questions. Nag reseta ng gamot, tapos after ng checkup maguupsell ng niresta niya sasabihin mas mura sakanya kesa sa labas. Upon checking above market price ang benta niya and hindi mag iissue ng receipt (though sinabi naman na hindi siya mag iissue ng receipt). Personal experince lang, will look for another dr for sure. Bad experience overall. Baka minalas lang ako at badtrip siya ng day na yun. Nasayang lang punta ko at nag off pa naman ako.
We had an unpleasant encounter with him today at Westlake Hospital. While he was direct to the point, the way he spoke came across as rude and arrogant. As a professional, I believe doctors should choose their words carefully and communicate with empathy. A little charisma and compassion go a long way in making patients feel respected and understood. What disappointed us even more was his behavior during the consultation. Every question we asked had to be checked on his cellphone first, as if he was consulting Google or ChatGPT instead of giving us clear, confident medical advice. It felt like he was studying the answers on the spot, which did not inspire trust or professionalism. On top of that, we felt underestimated when he implied that we might not be able to afford skin testing simply because we did not have HMO coverage. That kind of assumption was both offensive and uncalled for. Patients deserve respect regardless of their insurance status or financial background. Overall, the experience was frustrating and unprofessional, leaving us with a poor impression of both the doctor and the hospital.
My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Ricky since 2018 and we've never been so happy with the condition of our skin! The best, effective and and not to mention, affordable treatment from one of the best and nicest dermatologists! Even during ECQ, he still managed to send us our treatment/regimen sets. Thank you Doc Ricky! More power!
