I came in for a hair color service and asked for a recommendation for a low-maintenance color that would cover my white hair. I initially liked the overall result, but when I got home, I noticed many of my white hairs were still clearly visible. I don’t have a lot of white hair, which made it quite obvious that some strands were completely untouched. I raised this concern and was asked to come back. I appreciated that, but instead of fixing the color, my hair was only shampooed and blow-dried for free. I was told not to worry since it was just a few hairs, that I could cut them with scissors if they peek out, and not to look at them too much. I was also told the mixture could be adjusted next time when I come back for roots. Out of respect for the staff and their craft, I remained polite, but I left feeling that my concern wasn’t properly resolved. I understand recoloring immediately can risk hair damage, but the suggestions given were not a satisfactory solution. I’m giving a 2/5 mainly because my previous visits over the years had been satisfactory, but this experience was disappointing.

Had such a great time at South Salon! Jayr gave me the best shampoo ever, felt like a mini head spa 💆‍♀️ Sir Henry totally got what I wanted, just a nice refresh for my bob haircut with soft layers. My hair feels so bouncy, light, and so shiny after! 😍 Now I get why they have such good reviews, they really live up to it!
